I've eaten at B Cooper's several times and it has always been very very good. The lamb is something you just don't find many places. The brisket is tasty. If the Mangalita pork ribs are available, get them too. Blaine is a great guy and I am glad he is getting the recognition his food deserves.

Three Meat Plate

This was absolutely delicious. Some of the best baby back ribs I've had. Sausage had great flavor and perfect texture. Pork ribs were really tasty. We had enough for two meals

Delicious. Not much more you can say than that. We took our food to go and my husband said, "I want to go back and give that guy a hive five. I don't need to eat anywhere else. " Simply delicious.

Fantastic under-the-radar bbq spot. Must try the lamb. Often has heritage breed pork bbq as well. Owner and pitmaster is kind and attentive- took great care of finding good choices for my kids!

Lamb - 1/2 LB

Just took our first trip to Texas and spent nearly a week in Austin (I have to assume real Texans would say we haven't been to Texas yet) and were lucky enough to stumble across B. Cooper on our last night in town. We had the 2 meat meal with sides and went with the lamb and the baby back ribs - this is true barbecue, folks! Everything else we tried was good, but this is the stuff we came to Texas for. The bark is perfectly crispy and delicious without being the least bit burnt. The meat falls off the bone and melts in your mouth and is slightly under-done (which is even better than perfect, in my opinion). I don't how many ingredients this guy uses in his seasoning, but he has perfected the two most important ingredients - smoke and time. The sides were also amazing, but let's be honest, we're not here to talk about sides. As other reviewers have said, the lamb paired especially well with the vinegar sauce, but we tried all the sauces and they all compliment everything well. I was even dipping the sides in the barbecue sauce. This was the only place in Austin we found lamb or baby back ribs and they were both incredible. The best part, though, is not even the food. B. Cooper himself was incredibly friendly and he even walks your food out to you himself when it's ready for you to eat - this guy is an old-school class act through and through and it's clear that he just wants you to enjoy your experience eating the delicious food he makes. Mr. Cooper, we're so sorry to have destroyed the work of art you created for us, but we'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our trip to Texas everything we imagined it could be. When you open a truck in Vermont, we'll be your first customers.
